Best Bridal Shower Games

Bridal Shower Games are a fun part of the lead-up to your big day.
Of course, be prepared to be embarrassed - there's no way you'll avoid that! :)

The bridal shower (sometimes called kitchen tea) is put on by the bridesmaids to prepare the bride for her impending marriage. Tradition has it that a bride would be preparing to set up her own home for the first time, and so her bridesmaids, friends, mothers and relatives would 'shower' her with homeware type gifts.

Obviously, in this modern age, it's somewhat rare to find a bride-to-be who is still living at home, so while the tradition is not necessarily appropriate these days, any excuse for a good party and lots of cool gifts is always welcome. After all, you can never have too many kitchen goodies!

Also, it's a great opportunity for some female bonding and perhaps learning a few pearls of married life wisdom from the ladies who have already been married.

If you are looking for ideas to host the Perfect Bridal Shower, you could scour the internet, spend much of your valuable time, looking for that unique or unusual game. Or if you are time poor like many of us, you might want to consider Checking out a great E-Book, 'The Best Bridal Shower Games And More'.

Best Bridal Shower Games

Following we have listed just a few bridal shower games you might like to play:

Bridal shower, what was your name?
This game gets everyone's memory working. You have your guest sit around in a circle. Each person introduces themselves along with their favourite fruit or hobby, which starts with their first initial. For example; Hi my name is Oprah and my favourite fruit is an orange. Or Hi I'm Sam and I play soccer. Who ever gets the most or all the names right wins a prize. This way everyone gets to learn each other's name at the bridal shower which will also help guests at the wedding.

Bridal Shower Hand bag Weight
Have everyone put their hand bags on their laps. One at a time ask them to place their bag on a set of scales. Right down the weight of each bag. The heaviest bag wins.

Bridal Shower, Bridal Quiz
Before the bridal shower contact the groom and ask him ten questions about his bride to be. At the bridal shower, ask each guest and the bride answers the ten questions. The guest with the most correct answers (as per the grooms answers) wins. The bride's answers are then read out loud and compared with the groom's.

Bridal Shower, Hide & Seek
Household items are bought and hidden around your garden/courtyard. Guests are divided into groups of two or three and given a list with clues as to the items they must find. Whoever finds the location of all the items on their list first, wins. The bride then gets to keep all the items as a gift from the host.

Bridal Shower, Memory
Gather around a twenty small household items (so they can fit on a tray or two). Bring them out on the tray(s) covered with say, a tea towel. Provide each guest with note paper and something to write with. Take the tea towel off the items on the tray(s) and display them for around 1 to 1.5 minutes and then cover the tray(s) again. Ask the guests to try and remember what they saw and write it down. Whoever has the most correct answers wins.
