My mum is a chubby chops, my sister is a chubby chops and I'm a bit of a chubby chops too (size 14-16 with some lumps and bumps). I've tried the soup diet, special teas, metabolism tablets but I think I'm a bit stuck. My fiancé Rick has a body that is to die for (I'm a lucky girl)and I feel a bit podgy. I think he's worried that I'll end up like my mum (I'm worried too). I'm worried that my arms will look flabby in my dress and I will have a fat face in photos. I want to look toned and gorgeous for our wedding on April 16th. I want us to look like a fit and healthy couple, not just a fit and healthy husband.

Progress Report - Sunday 23rd Jan - End week 2
All is going great guns! I've had a busy two weeks as I am still on holidays from work and this week have babysat my four year old twin god daughters, but have managed to exercise heaps and eat well.

I have enjoyed going to the gym and getting involved in the classes. Cycle is a killer but only 45 minutes long so I feel like I get it over and done with quickly. I've felt so much more motivated and am doing extra at the gym especially weights which in the past Ii would have avoided.

I've lost a kilo, which at first I was disheartened by Ii figure the slower the better, it's likely to be more longlasting. I tried 4-3-2-1 detox, easy to drink but not sure if it helped with the weightloss.

My fiance is in New Zealand for 3 weeks so Ii've had extra time on my hands. I live at home with mum and dad and I've helped to change their eating habits too - fewer carbs in the later part of the day.

Progress Report - Sunday 6th Feb - End week 4

Well after 4 weeks, I am feeling ace!

I've lost 2 kilos which puts me right on track. My fiancé has been in New Zealand for 3 weeks and gets back on Sunday so he'll hopefully notice the changes. People at work and the gym have been commenting on how good I am looking which is a real buzz. I went for a wedding dress fitting on Saturday and it's now too big around the back which is a good thing, but will mean I am going to lose some of the beading. I'm not going for the final fitting until 3 weeks before the wedding, that way they can alter it according to my new size.

Unfortunately I had to have some minor surgery this week and the specialist has said "NO TRAINING FOR 3 WEEKS", the old me would've said, yippee a reason not to have to go to the gym but the wedding weight loss challenge me is really upset that I have to cut back on the exercise.

I am waiting on a new program from Dean to outline a less strenuous training regime with no sweating, lifting or pushing - I will be more strict on my food intake and do lots of walking I'd say! All's well at home, I have mum and dad into eating less carbohydrates of an evening too!

Progress Report - Sunday 20th Feb - End week 6
Well I can't believe it has been 6 weeks! I am getting well used to my salads for lunch and minimal carbs for dinner. I am feeling great and have lost 3 kgs in total and lots of people have been noticing. My jeans are too loose to wear now, which is fantastic!

I had minor surgery in week 4 so I had to cut back on training until week 6. I am still doing cycle at the gym and I feel so much fitter! I am looking forward to the second half of the challenge, and wait for it ... there are only 8 weeks until our wedding !!!

Progress Report - Sunday 6th Mar - End week 8

Well wedding plans are in full swing - only 6 weeks now till the big day! Am feeling very fit and trimmer. I have now lost 4 kgs. I have not done my measurements this week but my clothes are loose "big time".

Getting to the gym has been harder with invites to write, guest lists to organise and many other wedidng matters but i'm trying hard to do some form of exercise everyday. I am still maintaining my 80% very healthy diet but allowing the occasional lolly or chip here and there.
I am looking forward to shedding 2 more kilos in the last month.

Progress Report - Sunday 20th Mar - End week 10

Can’t believe that there are only 2 weeks left of the challenge - and only 4 weeks until our wedding!!!! All is going well. I have lost 5 kilos so only 1 more to go until the wedding which should be easy. I still aim to lose 10 kgs by the middle of the year. I haven’t been getting to the gym as much but I’ve been walking more. Life is getting so hectic with wedding plans that there is less time for exercise I guess - but I try to make time.

Progress Report - Sunday 28th Mar - End week 12

I did it!!

I've lost the 6 kgs I aimed to lose before the wedding. What a wonderful experience. I am feeling totally invigorated and ready to walk down the aisle feeling fit and much trimmer.

Thanks so much to True Bride and to Dean - what great support. I am now busy getting ready for April 16th, and buying new clothes for our overseas trip.
