End week 12

I have tried to lose weight for a few years just by watching what I eat
but it never seems to work for me. I have never been on crash diets or any other recommended diets like the no carb diet.

I want to look special and beautiful on my wedding day and I want people to be able to say how great I look. When I saw the oportunity to enter a competition to get the help of a trainer and complete support for the whole time, I thought what a great way to give me a headstart and fitness plan to boost my willingness to really try to lose the weight and look great.

Progress Report - Sunday 23rd Jan - End week 2
The challenge so far I have found has been great, the gym/aerobics classes have been great and It feels like I already have more energy. I find I am handling the walks and classes better than the first night. I have lost 1.5kgs and I do feel better, I can feel that my fitness and health will improve greatly over the next few weeks. My fiancé seems to be coping with the challenge as he is supporting me through it.

Progress Report - Sunday 6th Feb - End week 4

Since the start of the Program I have lost about 8kgs in total so I am quite happy with the progress so far. I can also feel it in all my clothes as a lot of them are getting very loose and I’m fitting into pants that I haven’t worn in years.

I have found the exercise program good but getting a little easy so I added an extra body balance class in on Mondays and have enjoyed doing that. I am feeling a lot healthier in myself and find that my energy levels have really boosted. On the 30min fast walk Dean prescribed my fiancé and I have almost tripled the length of our walk over the past 4 weeks.

The Ultra Slim drinks have been great for breakfast and I am actually enjoying having breakfast now as I was always one to skip that meal before. The pasta is also great, but I’m not having it on a daily basis.

Overall my partner and I are going great so far and we are both looking forward to the final results.

Progress Report - Sunday 20th Feb - End week 6
The last 2 weeks of the challenge have been great! Dean has been fantastic, especially when I re-triggered an old knee injury last week . He was there to help me still keep up the training and advise me what to do and not to do until it was feeling better.

I find the program is getting easier and easier as we go through it, the food is getting easier to eat as I am not missing the foods that I used to eat all the time. To date I have lost between 9 and 9.5kgs which is wonderful news! I am half way to my goal so I feel that I am really on track. My clothes are getting looser each week and I can especially feel it in pants that I wear to work. My fiancé is also great as he is coming to the gym with me and going on walks the other nights we can both feel and see the difference.

Thanks to Dean and Getfit I am feeling fantastic and I now know my wedding day is going to be extra special.

Progress Report - Sunday 6th Mar - End week 8
The Challenge to date has been excellent and all is going well. I have made it over the10kg mark finally for a total loss so far of 10.5kgs. I never thought that would come. I have had quite a few comments lately about looking slimmer which is a real boost of self confidence that this is all working and is all worth it. I find that it is a bit easier to go for walks and go to the gym now that it is getting a bit cooler as well.

Each time my fiancé and I go to the gym we find that we are staying there a little longer as the time flys by now and we don’t realise how long we have been there for. I’m still loving the body combat class that I do of a Monday night and I feel that the class is starting to tone my arms and legs more now. I especially feel these in my clothes as pants that I have worn to work for a few months that were tight around my thighs are now basically falling off me. I even had to buy new work pants the other day. Well with only 4 weeks to go, I will really push and try my hardest to reach my goal weight. All in all my fiancé and I are feeling great.

With Easter around the corner, I thought I'd let you know that, I am a chocoholic. But great news, I make home made chocolates each Easter for family and friends, and to my surprise making them this year I’m not even tempted to taste test them as I usually would, that’s up to the rest of my family. I am very proud!

Progress Report - Sunday 20th Mar - End week 10

All is going well and I can't believe there is only 2 weeks to go. Time has sure passed by. Over the past 2 weeks I have lost about 3 kgs to make it a total of 13.5kgs to date. Although I did not do much exercise as I was battling the flu for just over a week. As a result I did lose my appetite and taste which made me not eat much so this would have contributed to my weight loss. With the magazine out last week my mum and I did have quite a few comments about how much slimmer my face looks in the new photo compared to the old, so that was great to hear that news.

With only 2 weeks of the challenge remaining I am going to make these 2 weeks really count. Not to say that I am going to stop after the 2 weeks but we have 2 weeks to reach our goal weight and I am not far from mine, and I still want to keep going. I want to prove to people out there that it can be done and everyone on here has done well so far, so girls LETS GO! We can show them all.

Progress Report - Sunday 28th Mar - End week 12

I can't believe that the 12 weeks are over, the time has gone so quick and between now and the wedding it is going to go even quicker as there is lots to do from here on end.

In total over the 12 weeks I have lost 15kgs and feel great, I have a lot more energy and I find that I can walk long distances and up hills and stairs now without losing my breath. There is still another 5kgs to go to reach my ultimate goal (but I did reach my minimum goal which is great) so between now and the wedding the hard work will still continue to keep the weight coming off.

There are 6 people that I would like to really thank for helping me through this last 12 weeks. Firstly I would like to thanks Dean from Getfit for all his support and commitment, not only to me but the other brides too, without your support I know I would never have been able to come this far. Secondly, I would like to thank true bride for giving us the opportunity to enter the competition to start with and following our progress over the past 12 weeks. Thirdly, there is the Take 5 magazine who have given us that extra boost along the way by publishing our story over the weeks. Fourthly, to Ultra Slim for all the great products which have helped boost the diet as well and last (but not least) the love and support of my partner, Anthony, without him there to help me and join in the diet with me, I’m sure I wouldn’t have done as well as I have.

Congratulations to all of you, you all look great and all the best for in the future.
