| What
is the truebride.com.au 'Good Wedding Guide'™? |
The truebride.com.au 'Good Wedding Guide' applies
a rating scale in a simple and intuitive way to visualise collated
feedback about a wedding supplier’s capabilities, so you,
the customer can, at a glance tell the good from the not-so-good
when comparing wedding suppliers.

How
should I use the ratings? |
The Rating Scale can help you find wedding supplier’s
that other couple’s have been happy with and would be prepared
to use again if they had their wedding day over. Or in some cases
would never use a particular wedding supplier again, which is
just as important to know!

Is
every Wedding Supplier listed in truebride.com.au's wedding directory
rated? |
No. We can only
rate the wedding suppliers we have received feedback on. As soon
as we have received enough, legitimate feedback, a rating can
be displayed. If a wedding supplier does not have a rating, it
does not mean their services are no good, it purely means they
have not been rated as yet.

How
is customer feedback reflected in ratings? |
As there is a very diverse group of wedding suppliers
in the wedding industry who provide a broad range of goods and
services, we have devised a straightforward, yet effective, feedback
system™ applicable across all categories, products and services.
We ask our members/visitors, just one 'all-revealing' question,
to which they have a choice of 5 options with which to best respond:-
“If you had your time again, would
you use this wedding supplier?" |

| How
are your reviews and ratings gathered? |
truebride.com.au gathers feedback
from two sources to provide ratings on Wedding Suppliers.
1. |
|
Bride of the Year Entrants
Each year truebride.com.au runs the 'Bride
of the Year' competition and invites members who marry in
the current year to provide feedback on a number of their
Wedding Suppliers as one of the conditions of entry. To be
eligible to participate in the competition or claim prizes,
entrants must be Australian citizens, over the age of 18,
Members of truebride.com.au and have married in Australia
in the current year of the competition. This ensures that
the feedback is current, relevant and directly from a bride
and groom who have recently had the experience. |
|
|
|
2. |
|
truebride.com.au members and visitors
truebride.com.au also accepts feedback
from members and guests who haven’t entered the competition.
To ensure the information is current and relevant the person(s)
providing the feedback must provide their full wedding details
for verification. |

What
wedding details have to be provided? |

How
can I rate a Wedding Supplier? |
To rate a Wedding Supplier you must have recently
married and have therefore personally experienced the service.
We cannot accept 'hearsay', as this would not be accurate information,
nor would it be fair to the Wedding Supplier. To provide feedback
you can either enter the Bride
of the Year competition, or complete the wedding
supplier feedback form.

|
| Where
can I access the Wedding Supplier feedback form? |
If you enter the Bride of the Year competition
you will be asked to provide feedback on a number of your Wedding
Suppliers as part of the competition. If you do not wish to enter
the competition but would still like to provide feedback, click
here, wedding supplier feedback.

|
| How
do you stop ratings manipulations and fraud? |
We only accept feedback from someone who has personally
arranged and experienced the service and has provided their relevant
wedding details. If ratings are suspicious, we will either:-
1. Pursue further and follow up requesting a certified copy of
the wedding certificate and/or contact the Wedding Supplier to
confirm they provided the service, or,
2. If we are still unhappy, then we will not include the suspicious
rating.

| How
are your ratings calculated? |
| truebride.com.au takes great care to ensure that
we have relevant and up-to-date ratings. We do however allow for
the fact that organising a wedding is typically a lengthy process.
Our ratings include legitimate feedback submitted on Wedding Suppliers,
only for the past 3 years. This is maintained, on a 'rolling three
year basis'. Every 6 months, the oldest 6 month's data in the
3 year period is removed from the calculation and the most recent
6 month's data is added. This ensures the feedback remains up
to date. It then becomes a simple process of calculating the feedback
score based on the ratings and the number of feedback received.

|
| Are
comments provided with the feedback? |
| Members and visitors of truebride.com.au who provide
feedback via the key question™ asked are also able to provide
freeform written comments, however this is not mandatory. Therefore,
additional comments are not always available and do not, in any
way influence the rating, which is calculated independently of these
free form comments.
However, if a wedding supplier has a 'Profile listing' (or above)
in truebride.com.au's wedding directory and free form comments
have been left, they could be displayed in their 'testimonial'
page. The author of these comments however, will remain anonymous
due to strict privacy policy protecting our members and visitors.

How
often are Wedding Supplier Ratings updated? |
Every day we gather additional feedback from members
and visitors. The ratings are collated and updated every six months.

|
| What
does "Being Re-Rated" mean? |
Wedding Supplier’s can be re-rated for a variety
of reasons, including: · Discovery of suspicious feedback
or other unusual activity that makes us believe that the prior ratings
were unreliable. · Significant changes to a Wedding
Supplier's management and/or operations.
Once legitimate feedback has been gathered, a new rating will
be calculated and displayed for this Wedding Supplier.

|
| What about
industry ratings and awards? |
The ratings gathered by truebride.com.au are independent
of any industry ratings and awards. The information gathered is
based on feedback received directly from those that have personally
experienced the service, and is then displayed in a simple and
intuitive way to visualise collated feedback about a wedding supplier’s
capabilities. At a glance you can tell the good from the not-so-good
when comparing wedding suppliers.

| Do
Wedding Suppliers pay to have a rated listing in the truebride.com.au
Wedding Directory? |
| No, ratings cannot be purchased
they must be earned! To maintain
the highest possible levels of objectivity and independence in our
ratings, we do not charge Wedding Suppliers to be rated. Ratings
CANNOT be purchased, they must be earned. Nor do we charge for a
basic listing where wedding suppliers have been rated, which includes
business name, suburb, phone number and importantly the rating.
We do however, charge Wedding Suppliers to have 'enhanced' listings
in our Wedding directory or to otherwise advertise on our site.
This does not in any way influence their rating, nor does it guarantee
that they will be rated. A rating depends purely on an eligible
bride or groom, independently providing the online feedback.

|
| What
do Wedding Suppliers receive as a result of being rated? |
| A rated wedding supplier will receive a basic listing
in truebride.com.au's Wedding Directory. This includes their business
name, address and rating.
If a Wedding Supplier wants more information displayed in relation
to their business, they can purchase an upgrade to an alternate
listing type in truebride.com.au's wedding directory. A wedding
supplier who has done this may then be eligible to display their
'rating' on their website and other promotional material and is
provided with the necessary information/files to do so. Following
is a sample of the image a wedding supplier with a 5 star rating
could display on their site and/or their promotional material.

|
| What
Wedding Suppliers are eligible to be rated? |
truebride.com.au can receive feedback on any legitimate
Wedding Supplier. For a wedding supplier to be rated their clients
must provide feedback, there is no alternative method of rating.
Back
to top
| If a wedding
supplier does not have a rating, can they request to be rated? |
A wedding supplier cannot request to be rated, but can invite
their clients to provide feedback by either entering the Bride
of the Year competition, or completing the online wedding
supplier feedback form. Once enough legitimate feedback
is received then a rating can be applied. |
Back
to top
| Can a wedding
supplier choose not to be rated? |
No. The ratings gathered by
truebride.com.au provide an independent non-bias service to
couples getting married, an invaluable source of information.
As such we are bound by policy to display all ratings, the
good and the not-so-good. To exclude information would create
biases and tarnish the reliability of our ratings. |
