Casey and Pierre Kassouf, married Saturday, 19 April 2008
High School Sweethearts

It all started 10 years ago when we were 16 (high school Sweethearts). We both knew from the first time we laid eyes on each other there was a instant spark between us. From the age of 16 we spend almost every day together and each day our love for each other grew stronger and stronger. Pierre is not only my soul mate he is my best friend.

The Proposal was very sweet, it was a few days before my birthday and Pierre told me he was taking me out to our favourite restaurant. As we arrived at the restaurant I noticed the restaurant packed out with my family and friends. I was in a bit of shock, I turned around to Pierre and he was standing there with this stunning diamond ring and asked if I would marry him. I started crying and said Yes. I found out later that night Pierre had taken my sister shopping with him earlier that week to help find me the perfect ring. And perfect it was.

We decided to have an autumn wedding, a year after Pierre proposed. I had dreamed of my wedding since I was a little girl so I was eager to start planning. I had in my mind the dress Ii always dreamed of, the typical princess dress. After a day of trying on wedding dresses, the last wedding dress I tried on was perfect, once I had it on I knew this was the dress. The wedding dress was embroidered with Swarovski crystals and had a train that was over a meter long. The Bridesmaids wore melon pink backless gowns embroidered with Swarovski crystals. The groomsmen wore light gray suits with a crisp white shoe which complimented the bridesmaids dresses. The whole theme I wanted for our wedding was classy, elegant and chic.

Pierre is Egyptian so we incorporated his traditions into our wedding. We had a live Arabic band which pleased the 200 guests and the reception was full of dancing and drinking. I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding reception, we wanted the reception and our guest to be relaxed and to enjoy themselves.

Our first dance was like a dream, we had dry ice cover the dance floor and the lights dimmed, it felt like my husband and I were on a cloud, it was one of the most memorable moments for me.

My wedding day was perfect, and the entire wedding day is one we and others will never forget.
