Being the non-traditionalists that we are, we wanted to really
develop an understanding between us as to what a wedding meant to
us as a couple – and we came to the agreement that it was
an opportunity for our close family and friends and Jono and myself
to celebrate our love for one another and the relationship we have.
Jono and I then decided to create a wedding that would incorporate
this meaning, and I believe we successfully pulled it off with many
guests saying it was one of the most 'comfortable' and 'laid-back'
weddings they had ever attended.
From the simple set-up of our wedding ceremony, with a small gazebo
and white Bali flags on the river, to the 'chilled-out' atmosphere
of the reception at the She-Oak Shack Gallery Café, our wedding
day really allowed us to appreciate each other and the company of
our guests, who were all there for the same reason – to acknowledge
the fact that Jono and I make each other so happy!
If I were to do our wedding all over again, I would not change
a thing – our wedding photographer, our cake, our wedding
reception, and ceremony were just perfect. A simple perfection that
was just enough to achieve what Jono and I wanted our wedding to
be.
