Bride of the Year 2019 - Winner

There were twenty two gorgeous finalists in the 2019 Bride of the Year Competition, True Bride's nineteenth annual competition. Each of the twenty two entrants had become finalists from hundreds of contestants throughout the year, each deserving a chance to win. But there can only be one winner and in the end Lorrin Bosel received the highest amount of votes, and was crowned ' Bride of the Year' 2019. Congratulations Lorrin!

Lorrin's Competition Experience

I saw the True Bride Facebook page pop up on my Facebook Newsfeed before we got married and thought that would be something that I would like to have a go at (just for a bit of fun). I loved the idea of being able to continue to relive our Wedding day over and over with family and friends. It was very special being able to go through our photos again and really tell our story of how amazing our love story and wedding was. Both our Friends and family were all so excited and supportive of me entering the competition and couldn’t wait to start voting. I was really overwhelmed and appreciative of all the support and kind words we received from everyone.

When I first got the call that I had won, I was shaking with excitement. I couldn’t believe it and it’s still actually sinking in, the moment all our hard work paid off. I felt so proud. I called my husband straight away, he was over the moon. He was so happy for me and told me that I deserved it. All my friends and family were very excited for me, they all congratulated me over text messages, emails at work, social media messages. Even my husband arranged for a sign to be written on the local Cricket Club black board congratulating me. The local Maryborough Newspaper also did a follow up story on the Competition which made me feel extra proud in the community.

Getting votes was going to be the challenge, but we were lucky that my husband and I knew a lot of people in our town, plus our local newspaper did a written article on the Competition which got a lot of people behind us. A lot of votes also came from our local coffee shop where Darren and I first met. The owner of the coffee shop had a sign about the competition and instructed customers where they could vote.

We plan to use the money to buy Baby stuff as we are expecting our first child in Dec 2020.

I feel this is a great Competition, it gives you an opportunity to relive your Special Day; it gives you & your suppliers the exposure all over Australia. I loved sharing my Wedding photos with everyone & I would encourage other Brides to do the same. I would recommend this Competition as it give you an opportunity to relive your day for another 1 year, sharing all your fond memories through your story & photos. People get to learn your love story which is extra special.

I am thrilled to be crowned "Bride of the Year 2019" and now expecting our first child as well was just the cherry on top of the win.
