Around six years ago I was invited to a birthday party and I couldn?t decide whether or not go, so I tossed a coin. In the meantime Glen was dragged there by his friends. We got talking at the party and after a few hours I peeled the label off the bottle I was drinking from and for some reason placed it on his forehead and kissed it - strange but true! We never looked back.
One weekend we had gone away camping and unbeknownst to me, Glen had planned to propose. He had decided the proposal was suppose to take place on a bluff overlooking the valley in which we were camping. Only one problem ? he fell asleep around our campfire.
Glen however couldn't wait another day to make up a new plan, it had to be done that weekend! The following morning after packing up our camper he couldn't resist but to pull up by the side of the road on the way home and ask me to look in the glove box. There was the ring and of course I blubbered like a child and said yes. Not the most romantic proposal however it's one we'll remember! We decided we would get married within the year so had around 11 months to plan.
I found the whole experience a blast! My gown was in a magazine and I just fell in love with it. Drove to Sydney and it fit perfectly - no alterations needed at all. The lady at Abbey Bridal in Sydney could not believe it. Our cake was made by my Aunty who hadn't decorated cakes for years but it turned out just gorgeous. I don't think there was even a low point to be honest. Everyone I spoke to was helpful and I was able to do everything with very little stress. I would do it all over again in a flash!!!

From the moment I woke up with not a cloud in the sky after such a bad week of storms I knew it was going to be the most perfect day of my life and it certainly became just that. My three bridesmaids and I met at the hairdressers/beauty room and spent the morning basically being pampered with champagne and strawberries. Once ready we went back to Sails resort go get ready and my mum was there to help. My dad turned up to collect me - that was a special moment, the look in his eyes is certainly memorable.
We went to the ceremony each in an amazing hot rod. Glen and his groomsmen had been watching whales breach before we arrived. Our ceremony was held at Windmill Hill which is a park reserve overlooking the ocean in Port Macquarie. We had terrible storms the week leading up to the point so much so, that Coffs Harbour, only an hour away, had been pronounced as a natural disaster area. We came to terms with having the ceremony inside an atrium where we were having our reception but someone was looking after us. Whilst we took our vows we had a sea eagle circle overhead. This was just amazing, my mum believes it was a sign that my pops was looking after us from above. The day was just truly amazing. It still gives me goose bumps thinking of how every turned out.
The photos after the ceremony were enjoyable and then we made our way back to our reception at Sails Resort in town. Whilst we were off having our photos taken our guests made there way there and were served a selection of warm canap?which I was told were fantastic and we had a three course meal with drinks in the room. We had candelabras throughout the room with white linen. The food was excellent, we couldn't fault it and the evening went off really well. We decided to have karaoke. It was just a blast all night and not one person went over the top with drinking etc we just had the most lovely night with all our family and friends.

We honeymooned in Sabah (Borneo). Most people haven't heard of Sabah but we have to say it was the most delightful place to spend our honeymoon. It only took 7 hours to fly there and the reception from the Malaysian people was faultless. We spent most of our days lazing around the pool. We did do a couple of day trips, one to watch the orangatans feed in the wild at the Sepilok Orangatan Centre. We sponsored a baby Orangatan whilst there as it was just amazing! We would love to revisit.
