From the country to the city, the bush to the surf, you select your venue and I will perform your ceremony, says civil marriage celebrant Margaret Anne McCormack.
Ms McCormack has plenty of experience officiating at weddings throughout South East Queensland. She is based out of both Brisbane and the inland country town of Aubigny and travels regularly between the two locations.
Regular commutes allow her to cater to clients from a wide range of post-codes from the Sunshine Coast to the New South Wales border and every where in between, including Brisbane, Toowoomba, Marburg and Warwick.
As part of her regular practices, Ms McCormack likes to meet with couple twice before the wedding day. On the first occasion, she will review the legal obligations of marriage, marriage vows and answer questions. At the second meeting, ceremony details will confirmed and if couples want a rehearsal.
Ms McCormack normally schedules only one wedding ceremony each day so that she is able to fully devote her time and attention to the bride and groom and accommodate any delays.
Ms McCormack recalled an experience in her career that caused a wedding ceremony delay.
A bride and some of the wedding guests were late to arrive at the ceremony because one by one, the vehicles they were riding in were stopped by police for speeding violations. "But the bride's driver was okay. They were doing the careful, 'don't crush my dress drive' Ms McCormack said.
When asked about her favourite aspect of her profession, Ms McCormack said it was being part of the process. "You're part of the build up, then you see the bride and groom on the day and they are transformed."
Flexibility with time, a willingness to travel, and competitive rates for services, make Ms McCormack an excellent choice to officiate at you and your partner's union.
